The US government, including the NIH and the DOD (DARPA) have funded $31.8 billion taxpayer dollars into mRNA development over the last 20 years. Normally drug companies would develop tech, and then apply to the FDA for approval. In this case, the war department and the "National Institute for Health" have spent a vast fortune of your money on developing the tech, which had no useful application in humans (due to zero safety testing, zero efficacy, zero long term analysis of risk to altering and inserting foreign genetic material and having one's body become a factory for it, etc.), and then private companies like Moderna and Pfizer benefited in what can only be described as a windfall manner when suddenly standard safety measures and safeguards were deemed unnecessary due to a flu with a 99.8% survival rate, and governments around the world coerced and mandated their populations to become the experiment to see how safe the tech actually was (they already knew they weren't effective as actual vaccines had been defined for a century, which meant a shot that prevented infection and contagion - but now was redefined as ambiguously as the current inability to define what a woman is - as no studies ever showed them to be effective in preventing transmission).
