As I read today's MSM headlines, I can't help but think that they know we know they are lying, and that we know they know we know they know, and just don't care anymore because, as with all the COVID nonsense, there's a lot of money in lying all the time about everything - and if you're one of the party elite, you never get prosecuted no matter how obvious the crimes.
The US has become something so corrupt and sinister that it would make a Bolivian customs inspector blush at its dishonesty.
And that's the tame version.
The wonder is not how brazen all the lying and gaslighting have become, but rather how dim a substantial segment of the US population is that believes the nonsense. Not only do they not want to hear any facts that contradict their nonsensical belief (as all cults operate), but they are open to ever more insane narratives. I think we can thank government schools, fluoride in the water, the food pyramid, and the internet/TV for this, not to mention anti-depressants and narcotics, both of which the US consumes at levels undreamed of by the rest of the world.
In 2004, I saw it all coming. I really did. With the passage of the Patriot Act, the creation of Homeland Security, the impossible narrative around 9-11, and nonsensical wars based on complete lies in Afghanistan and Iraq, it was clear to me that the government had gone full blown Russian Mob. And when I saw the fiscal response to the dot com implosion and 9-11, I intuited that the empire's financial implosion couldn't be far off. When 2008 happened, and Wall Street essentially held a gun to the taxpayer's head to backstop all its theft and bad bets, and the Fed threw the public under the bus with zero interest rates for over a decade, my decision to cut my ties to the US back in 2004, to sell all my US and USD assets, and move to Mexico, was confirmed as prescient. Fast forward to the orgy of money printing to bail out the same bad actors as 2008, this time using the excuse of COVID in 2020-2022 (after reverse repos went crazy in Sept of 2019, requiring massive Fed intervention - sound familiar?), and my conviction that the US corporation is not just an empire in its death throes, but actively evil, has been confirmed. Global genocide to enrich a few big pharma entities owned by the same folks who own the media and the governments, a proxy war in Ukraine that is pitting NATO against nuclear armed Russia, the runaway inflation in the US, the obvious corruption at every level of law enforcement, the judiciary, the political class, the election process, and you have Caligula's Rome (and at least Nero could fiddle, whereas the current "leaders" can't navigate stairs or articulate a coherent thought).
To say this doesn't end well is pretty obvious. Every day come new revelations of how deep the rot goes, with the FBI nothing more than mercenary thugs, the DOJ a bad joke, the courts bought and paid for, the uniparty's thinly veneered pretension that there are two opposing parties in the US laughable, the IRS an extortion racket, and the lack of prosecution or justice for the powerful and connected rivaling the worst banana republics the world's even known.
Like the Titanic, the band plays on until the water's around their ankles, and the mass of men will simply suck it up and despair in silence as their fading illusion of Camelot turns out to be nothing more than another cruel bit of theatrics from the pecuniary interests that have long owned the world.
Last one out, turn off the lights, assuming they're still working, which is doubtful by then.

I've been half expecting a dirty bomb false flag to come out of Ukraine at any moment. It makes perfect sense, as it will bring the world to the brink of Armageddon, with the "solution" a global government so "this can never happen again." Rather obvious, but they aren't exactly subtle and do telegraph their punches.
If it comes to that and this was my last post - just know I appreciated your blogs - and your book about retiring to Mexico was very nice and insightful! Alas, I was never in a position to leave Holland and we are not going to leave now, either. I guess life is just happening until it doesn't. I do not have regrets. Thank you for all your writing! Cheers, Minky
