People don’t like to admit they are easily manipulated into believing pure bullshit. They desperately want to cling to the notion they are smart enough to see through the nonsense, and that their leaders and authority figures aren’t actively working against their interests, or their very survival. They are inculcated with a steady diet of propaganda where the good guys are clearly very, very good, and the bad guys are grotesquely evil and monumentally bad, and the population is always on the side of good, even if somewhat imperfectly. Complexity is reduced to sound bites a toddler can grasp, because that’s the attention span of the masses these days.
They don’t like it when you expose the lies so they’re forced to reckon with them. I’ve encountered this with friends and family. They simply don’t want to hear the truth, because it’s so uncomfortable it creates real cognitive dissonance, and then they become untethered from their fake reality and are unmoored, buffeted like dust by a leaf blower. They don’t enjoy living in a real world where everything they’re told is a lie. They vastly prefer their fake, magical thinking fantasy where their authority figures are benign and well meaning and good, rather than mendacious greedy scum who would gladly sell their own mothers into slavery for a few pieces of silver.
This blog post is a must read, end-of-the-year summary that lays bare all the lies in a form that can’t be ignored. The sad part is that those who most need to appreciate how they’ve been lied to will refuse to read it. Because knowing things, while useful, also requires self-awareness and taking responsibility for one’s destiny, and that’s super uncomfortable for a nation of fat, spoiled children who’ve lost all ability to reason. Still, I post it for those who still care about reality and the truth, even if that’s becoming a shrinking percentage of humanity.
On that cheery note, I invite you to share the link far and wide, and to have a happy New Year, even as we are metaphorically marched to the showers and assured that work will make us free.
Hang tight and keep a lookout for new bad developments. That 's essential. The 'Game' AKA 'Life' is rigged. So my belief is that fighting the system only ID's you as a target for the Elites to destroy. I think that whatever we, as individuals, choose to do must be surreptitious. Quiet. low key. 'underground'. I believe that neither Orwell nor Huxley, ever offered solutions. R. Buckminster Fuller said: 'You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete'. I believe that it's a mistake to expect the 'new model' to be a centralized reality. I think that the 'new model' must be totally decentralized. A multitude of new ways that counter the official 'way'. Each person as their own change agent. But under the radar. Stay Safe Everybody...
Thanks, Russell. A worthwhile read.
Perhaps, I could post this essay by Dr Vernon Coleman – a vilified British doctor I have followed for decades. Naturally, it has a British angle but its world-weary despair and criticisms are global.
