People have been complaining that my blogs are downbeat and only deal with bad news, so I thought I would brighten some folks’ day.
Mainly, those contemplating murdering someone, but hey, beggars and choosing, right?
50% of US homicides are never solved, and the perps aren’t brought to justice. That is pretty shocking for a “first world” nation, but good news if you’re planning on getting even with whoever done you wrong. Why? Because any cop will tell you that criminals are pretty dumb, and that most solved crimes involve either an informant, or because the killer was an immediate family member or mate.
So don’t be a moron and kill your husband or talk about how you popped a cap in that punk ass down the street, and the odds say you’ll get away with it.
As with all things, silver linings abound if you simply adjust your perspective.
And readers kvetch that I’m a curmudgeon. Bah, I say. BAH!!!
The rate is even lower in Chicago. Sometimes problems solve themselves!
Good factoid for the book I've been thinking about considering to possibly decide to write for the last 10 years.
I'm workin' on it, okay!
LOL
